WiloStar3D's Internet-based curriculum and home education program have been designed to meet the needs of homeschool families and students looking for a challenging technology and student centered multidisciplinary approach to learning.

The WiloStar3D middle school curricula is designed around an integrated 3D VR approach to language arts, science and social studies. Students work on core unit studies during focused five week periods. Each unit study focuses on either science or social studies and always includes integrated language arts skills. Language arts skills are taught in the context of each unit study and includes genre studies related to the unit topic.

Students at the middle school level complete a total of 1000 clock hours per school year. Each of our eight unit studies calculates out to 80 hours of instructional time. Language Arts requirements calculate out to 100 hours of instructional time.

In addition, students complete a 80 hour PE requirement, an 80 hour elective requirement and a parent directed math requirement of 100 hours. Students may choose to work with the Saxon math program supervised by parents at the middle school level or take math online with 3DLean using the Aleks math learning program . Full-time math courses with WiloStar3D teachers begin at the high school level.

Each middle school course has been designed to address specific academic standards drawn from Content Knowledge: A Compendium of Standards and Benchmarks for K-12 Education: 2nd Edition and have been provided courtesy of the Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning in Aurora , Colorado.
